Mili Parra Castro
Originally from Caracas, Venezuela, I was born in a big family with many beautiful traditions. I graduated from Computer Engineering and jumped into the workforce. I have three wonderful children who have impacted my life tremendously. In 1989 we migrated to the States when my husband got transferred by his job.
As years pass by, I have become more and more passionate about sharing our family history, our essence and traditions and keep our roots alive for our children and grandchildren. Pictures have become a passion for me and before I realized it, I have become the family curator.
Being the owner of Pictures with Magic only reflects what has become my passion for several years. Every person, every family, every city, everybody has a history behind them. A history that represents their essence, who they are and where they come from. And everybody keeps building part of that history for the new generations every single day. Pictures and videos are just a beautiful way to learn about the past and honor it, to keep a testimony of our present and means to share who we are and where we come from.
My job is to help my clients organize, restore, put together all the pieces stored in different places (old and new printed photos within boxes and albums, digital cameras, computers, phones, social media, etc.) and make sense of all that material to be able to share and tell about their lives.
I became a photo organizer and active member of the Association of Personal Photo Organizers APPO in 2012.
In 2013 I got my APPO certification. I work very hard to always provide my customers with the best possible service and to be sure we treat their history as my own: with love and respect.
